Salto Angel is the highest waterfall in the world.
It falls down 1000m from the Auyan Tepui plateau.
The waterfall was discovered in 1936 by the bush pilot Jimmy Angel. He landed on the top, but was not able to restart. It took him 11 days to return into civilization.

The island Gran Roque is the only inhabited island on the Los Roques archipelago. The small fishing village has only 4 streets, about 1000 inhabitants and not always electric current.
