493 Aerial photos Chateau de Blois Palace     The first palace of Blois was built in the 9th century. Later it was often extended and reconstructed. About 1500 King Louis XII initiated the reconstruction to a Renaissance Palace with a large garden (which does not exist anymore). Remarkable is the helix staircase in the main wing of the palace.
