According the myth Zeus sent to eagles to fly
against each other from both ends of the world.
They met at the midpoint of the world - in Delphi.
After the golden ages were gone, there lived Python
the winged snake, which was was sent by Hera in
order to gorge the children of Zeus and Leto.
With no success - Leto bore Apollo and Artemis.
Apollo killed Python and the prophetic abilities
of the snake went over to the Oracle of Delphi.
