According to the legend Wartburg Castle was founded
in 1067. Martin Luther hided here after his excommunication under the name Junker Jörg. In a small chamber he translated the Bible into German. Also the German poet Goethe often was at guest on the Wartburg. In 1999 the Wartburg was declared to be
an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Castel Gandolfo is the summer residence of the Pope.
It is located above lake Albano, near Rome.
Pope Clement III first used the castle for this purpose. It was rebuilt to its new form by Pope Urban VIII in 1626.
